Narcissistic numbers

This is a school project to summerize Numberphiles videos.

One-hundred and fifty-three is a narcissistic number. A narcissist is someone who is in love with themselves, and one-hundred and fifty-three is in love with himself. Depending on how many digits there are, in this case there are three, take your number (one-hundred and fifty-three) and raise it to the number of digits in that number.

13  +   53 +  3

13 is one
53 is one-hundred and twenty-five
33 is twenty-seven
one + one-hundred and twenty-five + twenty-seven = one-hundred and fifty-three! So one-hundred and fifty-three is in love with itself.
Now a four digit narcissistic number: Eight-thousand two-hundred and eight. this time there are four digits in this number, so four is the important part because we are going to raise each number to four.

       84  +  24 +  04  +  8

84= four-thousand and ninety-six +
24= sixteen +
04= zero +
84= four-thousand and ninety-six equals eight-thousand two-hundred and eight.

So that number is in love with itself. There are eighty-eight narcissistic numbers and the largest is 155,132,219,018,763,992,565,095,597,973,971,522,401! That is thirty-nine digits long!
